Dr. Anil graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 1998. He underwent his housemanship training in Ipoh Hospital. He was posted to Tawau Hospital as a Medical Officer. He developed an interest in O&G in Tawau Hospital and went on to specialize in this field. Dr. Anil completed his Masters’ in O&G from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Kubang Kerian in 2007. He worked in Penang Hospital as a clinical specialist after graduating from USM.

In Penang, he was fascinated with the management of female pelvic floor disorders and this inspired him to further subspecialise in the field of Urogynaecology. After 3 years of training, including a year in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, Taiwan, he was certified as a Urogynaecologist by the Ministry of Health of Malaysia. The sixth Urogynaecologist to be certified in this country. He is a founding member of the Malaysian Urogynaecology Society (MUGS) and a member of the International Urogynaecology Association (IUGA).

Dr. Anil has vast experience and is well versed in medical and surgical treatment for pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecological-related problems. However, his specialty is in Urogynaecology. Urogynaecology is a subspecialty dealing with urinary problems in women like stress urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. He also manages women who experience prolapse of the pelvic organs like the uterus, urinary bladder, and rectum through the vagina. Besides these, women with sexual dysfunction requiring medical or surgical treatment are also managed.
