We look forward to seeing her again at our follow-up
Norashikin Samsudin , sent on 05/10/2026Had a lactation consultation session today with Dr Rachel and got so much more out of it. We have seen numerous LCs around PJ/KL and she is the best one so far, I wish we had seen her earlier. Despite my baby being on the slightly older side, she provided a plan (according to our goals) and addressed my concerns related to latching (technique & positions), tongue tie, gassiness, pumping, and even baby’s sleep. The session took about 2.5 hours, but it’s only because Dr Rachel is thorough and detailed in her assessment and explanation. She lets parents record videos (with detailed commentary, mind you!) for our own reference, which is helpful when we are sleep-deprived and cannot retain every bit of information we look forward to seeing her again at our follow-up.

Highly recommended to any parents who are unsure or concerned about tongue-tie.
Hui En Low , sent on 06/10/2026We brought our newborn son to see Dr Rachel at Klinik Ooi Kanak Kanak for a suspected tongue-tie issue, after it was recommended by our confinement centre.
As first-time parents dealing with tongue-tie, we initially had A LOT of doubts and weren’t even sure if our baby really had the condition or whether the procedure was necessary. Dr Rachel was incredibly patient and took the time to explain everything to us in detail. She involved both my husband and me in the assessment and clearly explained the different types of tongue-tie, how to identify them, and most importantly, showed us exactly why she felt our baby had the issue. This gave us so much confidence in making the decision.
What really impressed us was that she didn’t just focus on the clipping procedure. We also had a lactation counselling session, which was extremely helpful for both my husband and me. I learned how to breastfeed with better techniques and positioning, as well as how to manage and support our baby’s tongue movement after the procedure.
Dr Rachel was also very caring with her follow-up. She video-called us the following day to check on our baby and make sure the wound was healing well. As new parents, that extra follow-up gave us so much reassurance.
Overall, we had a really positive experience with Dr Rachel. She is knowledgeable, patient, gentle and genuinely takes the time to educate parents rather than simply telling them what to do.
Highly recommended to any parents who are unsure or concerned about tongue-tie. Thank you, Dr Rachel, for taking such good care of our little one and for giving us the confidence and knowledge to support him better!
